1. The Ring’s The Thing

The Northampton team felt like they’d stumbled into an episode of The Repair Shop when a 60-year-old purse was brought in. Used to keep the customer’s wedding ring safe, the purse measured just two inches long and was returned to its owner after careful repair.

2. Cuddly Clinic

Every Zip Yard store has its own team of toy surgeons, whose specialist sewing skills have brought many a precious teddy bear back to life. If you’ve got a teddy who has lost a limb or eye or needs some new stuffing, we can help. Our team in Milton Keynes came to the aid of an 80-year-old teddy who is now back home and ready for more cuddles.

3. Seasonal Spruce Up

If you’re one of those people who has written Christmas cards and wrapped presents by the time the clocks go back, you’ll probably understand why a customer took their Father Christmas outfit into our Brighton store in September. Some nifty needlework means they’ll be looking groomed and groovy in the grotto this festive season.

4. Divided Loyalties

With the men’s Rugby World Cup final between England and South Africa looming, our Maidenhead store solved a rugby union fan’s dilemma by creating a half and half shirt combining both team’s kits.
